Asian Food Challenge

Presenting our second annual Asian Food Challenge. So you think you're a competition food eater and you want to be the next Takeru Kobayashi? Not after this you won't! Go ahead and face your fears by joining the first ever PMX Asian Food Challenge! Ten foods from Asia will assault your taste buds and curdle your blood. In the end, only one will stand as champion! Will it be you?

Here are the prizes!

First Prize: $50 in cash and some Guts
Second Prize: $30 in cash and some Guts

Third Prize: $20 in cash and some Guts

You also get bragging rights for your place in the winner's circle on the PMX website after con.

Rules to Participate in The Asian Food Challenge

1. You must be 18 years old or older to enter the challenge, and be a valid PMX badge holder.

2. You must have signed the liability waiver releasing PMX/PMA from any liability because of your decision to join the contest. (Waiver must be signed in person in front of a PMA representative. PMA is the Pacific Media Association, the parent company of PMX.)

3. You must not have ANY food allergies AT ALL. If you are not sure if you have food allergies or not, you cannot participate in The Asian Food Challenge.

4. To enter the Challenge, you must sign up. Location and date to be announced. There are limited entrants, so sign up early.

Rules of the Contest

1. You must eat the required quantity to advance to the next round.

2. Before advancing to the next round, you are required to listen to the introduction of the food (its origin, how it is made and prepared, etc).

3. After each round, you are required to stick out your tongue to prove that you ate it all.

4. You must smell the food when presented to you (everyone does this all at once) for 15 seconds.

5. You are not allowed to hold your nose when eating the food.

6. Food goes in. It does not come out! We have provided Buckets of Shame in case you are desperate, however this will result in your elimination from the contest. Throwing up or spitting kicks you out!

7. You must abide by the rules above or else you will be eliminated from the contest.

8. If more than one person is left in the final round, the person who eats the last item the fastest wins the contest.
