After the second impact, all that remains of Japan is Tokyo-3, a city that's being attacked by giant creatures that seek to eradicate the human kind, called Angels. After not seeing his father for more than eight years, Shinji Ikari receives a phone call, in which he is told to urgently come to the NERV Headquarters, an organization that deals with the destruction of the Angels through the use of giant mechs called Evas.Shinji's objective is to pilot the Eva Unit 01,while teaming up with the Eva Unit 00 pilot, Ayanami Rei.

Lux Digital Pictures, Inc. has just begun production on a new feature, tentatively titled "Fanime", which is a documentary on the history and cultural impact of anime films and series as viewed through the eyes of its most devoted fans (www.fanimemovie.com)

Are you a devoted anime fan? Would you consider anime inherently misogynist or feminist? What do you feel is missing in society as a whole that anime/manga has filled? Would you say that anime has changed your life - and how?

Come share how anime films and series have impacted and influenced your life. Doing the interview in cosplay is welcome! The interviews will be filmed onsite at PMX.

Domestic Voice Actor: Wally Wingert

Wally Wingert Multi-talented performer Wally Wingert is making his PMX debut. An established veteran, Wally has built an illustrious career in all facets of entertainment; everything from The Murphy Brown Show and Power Rangers to Star Wars videogames. In the world of anime, he is best known as Renji in Bleach, Rufus Shinra in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Brago in Zatch Bell!.

Other anime roles include George Miyagusuku and Amshel in Blood+, Dolsk in Blue Dragon, BanchoLeomon in Digimon Data Squad, Nakazato Takeshi in Initial D, Kaiza and Aoba Yamashiro in Naruto, Sideburn and Mirage in Transformers: Robots In Disguise. He also had roles in Astro Boy and DinoZaurs.

He is also known for his extensive video game credits, including Dr. O'Shay and Blue Knight in Astro Boy and Maximo in Maximo: Ghost to Glory.

Currently, Wally is the voice of the Jay Leno Show, airing nightly on NBC.

Patrick Seitz Patrick Seitz is a Los Angeles voiceover actor, script adapter and ADR director who has been fortunate enough to work on nearly 100 anime and video game titles during the last few years.Some of Patrick’s more prominent roles include Isshin Kurosaki in Bleach, George in Paradise Kiss, Hazel in Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, Dhaos in Tales of Phantasia, Raul in Ergo Proxy, Koshiro in Koi Kaze, Charles Beams in Eureka Seven, Lee Linho in ROD the TV, and Luke Valentine in Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate.

On the video game side of the ledger, you can hear him as Chopin in Eternal Sonata and Dylan in Valkyrie Profile 2, as well as various and sundry characters in the likes of Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology, Dawn of Mana, Time Crisis 4, Ace Combat Zero, and Romancing Saga, to name a few.In addition to the voiceover work, Patrick has done script-adapting and/or ADR direction for Hell Girl, Girls Bravo, Kamichu!, Tales of Phantasia, The Melody of Oblivion, Zegapain, and Rumiko Takahashi Anthology.

Currently, Patrick is the director of the anime adaption of Naoki Urasawa's Monster, which airs on the SyFy network as part of Ani-Monday.

Cristina Vee Cristina "Vee" Valenzuela is an anime and video game voice actress residing near Los Angeles, California. Her story from a anime fan and cosplayer to a professional voice actress and singer is a unique one. She dreamed of becoming a voice actress years before she was discovered by BangZoom! Entertainment at Anime Expo at the ripe young age of 16. Now, at 22, she has starred in anime such as Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha as the title character, Rozen Maiden as Kanaria, The Familiar of Zero as Louise, and Aika in Aika R-16. Other anime roles include Machi in Blade of the Immortal, Misaki in Kannazuki no Miko, Rachel in Hare + Guu, among others. She also has voiced for popular video games such as Avalon Code, Luminous Arc 2 (Sylphy), Rune Factory Frontier (Cinnamon), and, most recently, in BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger as Noel Vermillion and v-13 (Nu).

Cristina has also gained popularity through her YouTube channel as MilkyCabbage and ValliereVee with her English dubs and Japanese covers of anime songs. She is currently co-starring on a review show called Anime Olympics while she is finishing up her college degree. You can also see Cristina in various short films and she is featured in an episode of the popular AnimeTV and in the Adventures in Voice Acting documentary. She still cosplays.

Kaiji Tang When Kaiji Tang isn't cage-fighting bears, playing football with sharks or raiding in World of Warcraft, he can sometimes be found doing actual acting work! Through a bizarre and very fortunate twist of events, he found himself behind a mic a couple of years back and he's been making funny voices ever since. Though he does still occasionally do camera work. (Double paychecks)

He's been involved in such shows as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Karas, Flag and Tweeny Witches. He's played Sputnik in Kite Liberator, Colbert and Derflinger in Familiar of Zero, and Shiro Takamachi and Graf Eisen in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha/Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's. He's recently started branching out into video games, starting by dipping his feet into BlazBlue. Kaiji is also very proud to have been involved with the new ScyFy Anime Monster.

Shopping at PMX Pacific Media Expo is proud to screen Filipino American film Brown Soup Thing written and directed by Edward J. Mallillin.

SPECIAL APPEARANCE: Japanese American comedian KT Tatara will be at the Brown Soup Thing panel. KT Tatara has appeared in television shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Californication, and comedy specials such as Man Up, Stand-Up and History of the Joke.

Brown Soup Thing is a comedy-drama about a comfortably disconnected Filipino American family. In order to raise her unacceptable A- average, 10 year-old Lita must submit a video project about what it means to be a Filipino in America. Her upcoming birthday provides the perfect setting to unite everyone: parents who can't relate to their kids, immigrant sister Fely, the always-guilty over-achiever brother Jude, hip-hop sister Maria, an array of cousins, her grandmother who just wants to cook, and favorite sister Shana, who moved out of the country to get away from everyone.

Singer/Songwriter Kiryu

Kiryu at PMX Coming to PMX will be special music industry guest Kiryu.

Japanese Singer/Songwriter Kiryu will appear at this year’s PMX to meet fans and promote his first album, Hydra, as a guest of Askew Magazine. Kiryu will be available throughout the convention selling merchandise, signing autographs, and for photo-ops. Also, be sure to check out his panel discussing the highs and lows of being an independent artist in the Japanese music industry.

Kiryu (桐龍) is a Japanese artist with a unique sound that moves beyond basic rock, exploring what an artist can do for music, instead of what music can do for an artist.
