PMX welcomes voice actress Sherry Lynn. Lynn is an LA native who began acting at the age of 19, Sherry began her career on camera. One of her first experiences was working with Robert Zemeckis in his first feature film, I Wanna Hold Your Hand. She then landed a lead in a Norman Lear pilot. The series didn’t make it but she was offered an NBC contract. After a SAG strike she discovered the world of voiceover and never looked back.
Since that time she has starred in a number of cartoon series and can be heard in the animated features The Lorax, Toy Story 1, 2, and 3, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Up, Ponyo, Wall-E, Cars, Ice Age 2, Horton Hears a Who, Shrek 2, Brother Bear, Finding Nemo,Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Monsters, Inc., A Bug’s Life, Aladdin,Beauty and the Beast, and Little Mermaid.
Sherry has also found her niche providing the English voices for popular Japanese anime series and video games. Her first venture into the anime world was with the Tenchi Muyo! series playing Sasami and Tsunami. This was followed by Magical Girl Pretty Sammy (Pretty Sammy); Tenchi in Tokyo; Kiki's Delivery Service; Ah! My Goddess (Skuld); Bio Hunter (Sayaka); Cowboy Bebop (Young Faye Valentine); Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals (Linaly); Gatekeepers (Saemi Ukiya); Ghost in the Shell (Tachikoma); Psycho Diver Soul Siren (Yuki Kano); Rozen Maiden (Hinaichigo);Wolf's Rain (Cheza) and Real Bout High School (Misao)...to name a few (complete listings can be found on the web).
When Ms. Lynn is not recording, she is the co-artistic director and co-founder of Children's Theatre Group of Southern California (CTGSC), now in its tenth year. CTGSC is a theatre company for children ages 8-18 located in North Hollywood. She is also the artistic director and co-founder of Southern California Arts Program (SCAP), which has been offering over 35 visual and performing workshops for children for the past thirteen years.
