Information for Artists:

• The Artists Market is located in the La Jolla Ballroom of the LAX Hilton, the same room as last year.
• The room fits a total of 36 Full Tables (6' x 2.5'), 12 of which are already taken by last year's at-con pre-sales, by convention guests, and staff artists. This leaves a total of 24 Full Tables available for current sales.
• Here is a room layout diagram showing the placement of the tables.
• Half Tables are $40 each, Full Tables are $80 each.
• All Artists must agree to abide by the PMX 2012 Artists Market Agreement.
• Early pre-sales for PMX 2013 will be offered onsite the last day of con. We will be returning to the LAX Hilton in 2013.

Signup is still open for Artist Tables Waitlists; 24 Full tables' worth of spots sold in 4min:32sec.
The Artists Market is tentatively full pending portfolio review and payments clearing.

Official Artist Instructions:

1. Before the open: Verify that you can login to Event Ticket Registration.
   • If you registered by yourself or are the leader of your group registration, the standard instructions on the login page apply to you.
   • If you are a member of a group and need the ability to login as yourself without coordinating with your group leader, click on the Individual link next to the login button, and then the Forgot your password? link to recover your Individual Login password. Be sure to check your spam filter for the password email, as some services (cough, Yahoo) are aggressively putting automated emails like ours into the spam folder.
   • Read the PMX 2012 Artists Market Agreement and the Artists Market Frequently Asked Questions. Note that all table sales are now contingent on portfolio review, and if you have a large display a review of that as well. See the post-open steps below for details.
2. During the open: The shortest route to securing a table once sales open is as follows.
   • Login to Event Ticket Registration if you are not already there waiting to snipe the open ^_^
   • Click the Add more tickets button to go to the ticket selection screen.
   • Select a Full Table, Half Table, or a type of Waitlist table (depending on what's available) and click the Select my choices button.
   • Check that your selection(s) (shown in red) are correct, then click I want to Purchase this selection.
   • The next screen will contain a boxed message telling you if you were successful in reserving your tickets. If your selections are now showing in black, then relax! You have at least 48 hours to pay online or make payment arrangements with us.
   • Remember however that all sales are contingent on portfolio review and the new display rules, so you may want to hold off paying for your table until you have completed the post-open steps below and received a response from our staff.
3. After the open: Provide the information listed below, using the PMX 2012 Artists Market Survey. If you have reserved a Table, then this form is mandatory to secure your Table space. If you hold a Waitlist space, then it is optional but will become mandatory if we get to your position on the Waitlist.
   • Your PMX Member ID (web registration code and member number)
   • Your Name and Email address in case the Member ID does not appear to match
   • How you would like to be contacted regarding the results of the survey
   • A portfolio review URL. This is to implement paragraph 8 of the PMX 2012 Artists Market Agreement, the 20% minimum original content rule. A deviantArt link is fine; we are more interested in establishing that you produce original art on a regular basis, than in screening everything you might be currently working on for November.
   • Subsidiary Artist information
   • Whether or not you need a wall or end space
   • Requests for partial payment buttons
   • Placement preferences (please refer to the room layout diagram)
   Artists Market staff will contact you if they have questions, and also to let you know if your table space is confirmed and payable, or if there were problems.
4. Payment (read this if you used an Individual Login earlier): We had originally planned an Individual Payment feature for this year, but that has been deferred to next year rather than allow the opening to get postponed again. For those of you in groups with other artists who need a partial payment button, be sure to indicate that on your survey form. We will generate a payment button with the correct amount and tracking numbers and send you the link.

Special note about the 48-hour payment deadline: we'll measure it starting from the last step you were responsible for doing. So you have 48 hours to get your Survey form in, and then when we notify you that your portfolio review has passed, you have another 48 hours to pay online or contact us about alternate payment methods.
