PMX Masquerade is Pacific Media Expo's cosplay competition! See an extravaganza of amazing costumes, great skits, and special performances. PMX Masquerade will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 (see updates for time and location).
Masquerade Emcee:
Danny "Dboy" Gonzales
From being a typical fan of anime to becoming the founder of Ninja-Con, Danny "Dboy" Gonzales has worked his way up with stand-up comedy. Debuting at the 2008 Anime Expo Last Comic Standing competition, Dboy had no idea what he was getting himself into. Winning the competition gave him the push and motivation to expand his comedic talent. Performing at comedy clubs and conventions around Southern California gave Dboy an edge and the idea to create his own comedy production Big Laughs in Little Tokyo with the support of Azure Lorica Inc. Incidentally, Dboy has founded an anime convention,Ninja-Con, that is devoted to for the hidden talent found within fans of anime and Asian culture to bring out the best of what they are passionate about.
Halftime Performers
Angel Hearts
Angel Hearts is an award-winning cosplay dance group that has been performing at events throughout California since 2003. They are perhaps best known for their IDOLM@STER cosplay dance shows but also enjoy performing ParaPara and J-Pop routines. They hope to spread sparkling smiles by sharing their love of music, dance, and cute idols.

Takeriya Samurai Mikarin and Hagi
Before they were exposed to “cosplay,” Mikarin was just a starving musician from Japan, and Hagi was her husband who supported her music. After discovering “cosplay,” they became the team “Takeriya Samurai”, who creates their own costumes, perform in masquerades and panels and act as press at anime conventions. The duo enjoys performing bilingual cosplay skits at Masquerade competitions, and are also staff members of the 2013 PMX Cosplay department. Hagi will also be helping at the PMX Cosplay Pit Stop this year.
