Nom Nom Truck is a female-owned mobile food truck (owners Misa and Jen below!) that serves “Banh Mi”, or Vietnamese Sandwiches, and other Vietnamese-inspired dishes to West Los Angeles and the greater Los Angeles area. Our goal is to make you guys, our Nomsters, happy by serving fresh Vietnamese fare to the masses! Our latest venture is competing on the latest Food Network series known as The Great Food Truck Race, traveling across the US in our truck, competing against 6 other food trucks, and serving as many Nomsters as possible (airs Sunday 9 PST).

Takoyaki!? What!?
What the heck is “Takoyaki”???
Osaka!!
Without exaggeration you could probably say, Takoyaki = Osaka and vice versa.
Takoyaki was originated from the streets of Osaka way back in it’s days.
The round shaped shells are made from eggs and flour and on the inside there are octopus pieces and a mix of veggies.
We use a special grill to cook “Takoyaki”, specially made for it.
In the old school days in Osaka they use to say if you are a newly wedded wife to a family, better bring your Takoyaki grill.
People in Japan, especially in Osaka love Takoyaki.

The Dumpling Station is Asian American Fusion Truck that specializes in cultivating fresh dumplings and wontons to spread cultural awareness of Asian cuisine throughout Southern California. The idea for our truck came originally came from Taiwan, where street markets set up at sunset and provide people with a variety of different foods and dinner options at an affordable price, without sacrificing anything by means of quality or quantity. |

Nastassia Johnson is a native Angeleno. Her journey with food has been proverbially long and winding, beginning with lumpias and pancit in Echo Park’s Filipino restaurants. Soon she became absorbed with knowing all of the possibilities of consumption and developed a voracious appetite for food and the history behind it. |
